Simon Plyte is the Chief Scientific Officer of BIOMUNEX. Simon leads the R&D strategy and advances innovative oncology bispecific and multi-specific programs. Simon brings more than 25 years of experience in drug discovery and development of both NCEs, biologics, bispecific and multi-specific biotherapeutics, in oncology, immuno-oncology and other therapeutic areas. Throughout his career, Simon has held Director and Vice President positions in both large pharmaceutical companies (Pharmacia, Boehringer-Ingelheim) and innovative biotechnology companies (e.g. Nerviano Medical Sciences, Congenia, Molecular Partners AG, Merus). His international experience spans Germany, Italy, Switzerland, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and Canada. Prior to entering the pharmaceutical industry Simon was a Post-doctoral fellow at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research (London, UK) and the Ontario Cancer Institute (Toronto, Canada) and is the co-author of several publications and patents, notably for Biomunex. He holds a PhD in Biochemistry and Biophysics from University of Portsmouth (UK)
